Long time no speak....

But if there is no one there, is that really an issue? If there is no one to read or listen, does something exist? Will time mean anything if there are no readers?

Just needed something to break the ice, it has been a while since my last post and I am glad to say that despite the world seems to be revolving - more or less.

I have decided to try and be more regular in my writings and possibly change the focus/create new blogs on the different areas of my interst.

From a technology perspective I came back from VON in stockholm with a few ideas that I am trying to coagulate. Specifically:

- Is there a role for a "responsible" telco to play in the society? This really stems from some of the nonsense suggesting nobel prices for skype and co... If I look at Linux in Brazil is there anything a telco could do - in a not for profit mode as usual only more not for profit - to support disadvantaged individuals/regions by providing bandwith to learn?
